Zahra, who is the daughter of Nasir Ado Bayero, the Emir of Bichi in Kano, and Yusuf, son of President Muhammadu Buhari, are scheduled to tie the knot on August 20.

But during the bridal shower, the Kano princess and her friends could be heard reciting lyrics of ‘Koroba‘, a hit project by Tiwa Savage, while dancing to the song energetically.

“I no come this life to suffer. If I follow politician, you go hear am for paper. Them go call am prostitution, who no like enjoyment? If money dey for pocket. Shebi na national budget e o? we go blow am like trumpet,” they were heard singing.

In the song released last year, Tiwa Savage had reflected on deeply-rooted societal ills in the country’s polity, including politicians’ knack for looting public wealth for personal use.

The manner in which Zahra’s friends danced to the song during the party has since sparked mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media.

The development comes a few days after Zahra came under fire for donning a bridal shower gown that revealed around the shoulder and arms.

The Kano state Hisbah board had tackled the president’s in-law for the outfit, stating that such does not reflect Islamic way of dressing.
