The songstress announced the song’s release via her social media pages on Friday.

In the song, Tems samples the classic 1997 Nigerian song ‘Love Me Jeje’ by Seyi Sodimu featuring Shaffy Bello.

‘Love Me Jeje’ produced by Guilty Beatz sees Tems crooning about her desire for a “fresh and clean” love.

“I need your loving/ So fresh, so clean/ Love me in and out/ Unfailingly/ And I’ll be down now anytime you call me/ I’ll be down, I’ll be down/ Because I love, and I love, and I love, and I love you only/ Because I need, and I need, and I need, and I need you more/ Yeah, You know I run and I run and I run and I run/ Fly, we can fly in the sky in the night/ Hold me in your arms, in your love and your light,” she sings.

Tems recently said her debut album ‘Born in the Wild’ will be released in May.

The singer, born Temilade Openiyi, started to gain popularity in 2020, courtesy of her collaboration with Wizkid on the song ‘Essence’.

She bagged the ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’ category for her role in ‘Wait for U’, the 2022 hit song by Future featuring Drake.

In March, the singer was honoured with a ‘Breakthrough Award’ at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards.
