In an interview with HipTV, the singer said he decided to mask his face because he wanted to present a new version of himself.

He said he has shown his face for over two decades.

He added that the choice to cover it up was to give it a touch of Lagbaja 2.0.

“Me wearing my mask, I’m all masked up. It’s just a new Kcee. It’s a new season of dum dum and I just decided to cover my face,” he said.

“You guys have been seeing my face for almost 24/25 years. This time around I chose to cover it up and just give it some Lagbaja 2.0, Kcee 2.0.”

In 2021, the Kcee teamed up with the Okwesili Eze Group to release a gospel music album titled ‘Cultural Praise’.

The music star is currently signed to the label Five Star Music.
