The Ekiti-based chef announced the new feat via her Twitter page in the early hours of Tuesday.

“100hrs done! 20hrs to go! Go Dammy!!!,” a terse note on her page reads.

Baci made the headlines when she surpassed the world cooking record of 87 hours 45 minutes previously set by Lata Tondon, an Indian chef, in 2019.

Her attempt, however, is yet to be officially certified by the Guinness World Record (GWR).

In a video, Adeparusi, who is targeting a new cooking record of 120-hour, and her colleagues were seen jubilating.

The Ekiti chef commenced the cooking marathon on June 9 and has become a viral sensation since then.

Her cooking marathon has also attracted different reactions from social media users.

While some users commended her courage, others criticised her for alleged plan to “undermine” Baci’s attempt.

Ruth Kadiri, the actress, earlier took a swipe at her for not waiting for Baci’s euphoria to settle.

Ugezu J. Ugezu, the filmmaker, also described Adeparusi’s attempt as “an act of wickedness”.

But Yemi Oyebanji, the first lady of Ekiti state, hailed the chef and described her efforts as a show of determination and courage.

Baci also declared her support for her despite the rumoured rivalry between them.
