Kenneth Okonkwo, the actor cum politician, says the administration of President Bola Tinubu, is “worse” than that of Muhammadu Buhari.

Okonkwo, in a snippet of an unreleased episode of the Mic On Podcast, warned that “anarchy is looming in Nigeria”.

The politician accused Tinubu of monopolising government appointments while reminding the former governor that “Nigeria is not Lagos”.

He also slammed the president for allegedly putting his children — Seyi and Yinka — before ministers in the order of protocols during his recent visit to Qatar.

“Anarchy looms in Nigeria. Nigeria is not Lagos where you sit down and decree things, and you expect it to work that way. You do not compare gold with carrots,” he said.

“I thought Buhari’s regime was going to be the worst, but the nine months of this present government has surpassed it. Do you know what it means when you place your children in order of protocols before the Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria?

“What do you call that? You allowed someone to come into Aso Rock, sitting on the Coat of Arms to call our military men thieves. This government in terms of appointment is just concentrating not even on South West but on the Lagos axis of his Jagabanic proteges.”

Okonkwo was a former member of Tinubu’s political party, the All Progressive Congress (APC).

He, however, dumped the APC in 2022, citing the party’s adoption of a Muslim-Muslim ticket for the 2023 presidential election.

The actor joined the Labour Party (LP) and has been an ardent supporter of Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate during last year’s election.
