The song, which was released on Friday, was accompanied by a video that features both singers.

In the visuals, which concatenates Davido’s African pop with a blend of dancehall, R&B and indigenous beats with chords, strings, and rhythms, they croon about the influence of wealth.

“Let’s hop in my Maserati | Baby hop in my Maserati | I say hop in my Maserati | Hop in my Maserati | Girl I wanna see you go down yeh | Say me love the way you gbe body | Hop in my Maserati | Baby hop in my Maserati | And i just wanna see you ride,” they can be heard singing.

For Olakira, who continues to hone his musical skills, the collaborative single with Davido follows after his works with the likes of Dotman and Patoranking.

The project similarly comes just as ‘FEM‘, Davido’s recently released solo single, continues to rake in numbers across streaming platforms ahead of ‘A Better Time’, the singer’s third studio album.

Beyond music, Davido had recently left tongues wagging after he spoke on the country’s socio-political landscape and what he thinks should change before he would consider venturing into politics.
