Dablixx Osha, the Nigerian Trap singer and rapper, is dead.

The music star’s family announced his demise in a statement via his Instagram handle on Tuesday.

“We the family of Dablixx would like to thank everyone who has reached out. He is in a better place now. We hope the public would let us mourn him privately and peacefully. He is forever loved,” the statement reads.

The circumstances surrounding the singer’s death are, however, still unclear.

When TheCable Lifestyle contacted Benjamin Hundeyin, Lagos police PRO, he said he had yet to receive information on the matter.

Osha’s associates and fans have also been paying their last respect to the singer on social media.

Among the artistes who have paid tributes are Portable and Mohbad.

Born Oniyide Azeez in 1995 in Lagos state, Dablixx rose to stardom through his social media freestyles. These helped him establish a strong presence on Instagram and grow his fan base and followership.

Dablixx released Trap tracks and freestyles in both Yoruba and English.

His rap songs address real-life topics such as betrayal, street smarts, trust, pain, and others.

On social media, snippets from songs of the dead artiste have been widely circulated.

In one of such songs, Dablixx could be heard speaking of how his mother had a dream about him dying.

One of the lines in the song had him explain that he dismissed his mother’s concerns.

Footage of his lifeless body also surfaced online, showing some of the singer’s loved ones mourning him.
