Basketmouth, comedian/actor, and his family were robbed by armed burglars in the early hours of Wednesday.

Bovi, colleague and close friend of the comedian, made the disclosure this morning via his Instagram page while also stating that no one was hurt while the robbery ensued.

He said: “Basketmouth was robbed this morning in his home in lekki phase 1 between the hours of 2am and 4am, 7th of September 2016.

“He and his family were held at gun point while the sad episode lasted. Nobody was hurt”, Bovi added.

He further noted that the robbers made away with “valuables” and that the incident has been reported to the police.

“Valuables were taken including the cctv device. A report has been made at the police station. He can’t be reached at the moment but will be back on as soon as possible.”

Basketmouth, a versatile comic, real names Bright Okpocha, is married to Elsie Okpocha and they have two children.
