Mercy Chinwo, the gospel singer, on Tuesday, thrilled the crowed at the governorship campaign flag-off ceremony of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom.

The flag-off ceremony took place at the Nest of Champions Stadium in Uyo.

At the ceremony, Udom Emmanuel, the state governor, endorsed Umo Eno as his successor as well as other candidates of the party contesting for the senate, house of representatives and house of assembly in the 2023 elections.

The 32-year-old singer took to the stage to serenade the supporters of the party with some of her popular songs.

In the video, she could be seen giving a powerful rendition of ‘Excess Love’, her hit single, as the crowd sang along with her.

Chinwo started her gospel music career after winning the second season of the Nigerian Idol.

She has since then continued to receive massive reception from gospel music lovers.

Chinwo got engaged  to Blessed Uzochikwa, the head pastor of The Water Brook Church in Lagos, on June 23.

The lovebirds tied the knot in August.
