DJ Cuppy, the Nigerian disc jockey, has put out the visuals for ‘Wale’, her 2020 song featuring Wyclef Jean, the Haitian rapper.

‘Wale’ is the third track from Cuppy’s debut studio album titled ‘Original Copy’.

The three-minute video begins with Cuppy dressed in all-black regalia at a beachside surrounded by smoke and bonfires.

She then professes her feelings to her love interest while pleading with him to come home to her.

“For your love I got kpai/ Making love for my mind/ Private trips to Dubai/ I be soft girl for life/ I be confirm girl I know as e dey go o/ Oluwacuppy baby ma lo ji so ro/ And my money long like say I want lotto o/ I go buy you house and buy you new motor,” Cuppy sings.

Though Wyclef did not appear in the visuals, his part was still delivered

Born Florence Otedola, Cuppy is the daughter of Femi Otedola, the Nigerian billionaire businessman.

She began her career in 2014 as the resident DJ at the MTV Africa Music Awards.

Wyclef Jean, on the other hand, gained fame as a member of The Fugees, the trio music band alongside Lauryn Hill and Pras Michel.

They parted ways in 1997. The rapper has also enjoyed a successful solo career with a plethora of awards to his name.
