A video showing Davido promoting Abu Salami’s football project has surfaced online amid claims of unpaid debt.
Salami, a businessman, had accused the singer of of making threats after breaching a financial agreement related to a children football’s project.
He claimed Davido failed to fulfil his part of the contract, which he said was worth over N200 million.
Special Spesh, Davido’s hypeman earlier responded by stating that Salami was impatient for the project to mature before contacting the singer, and now it has “backfired”.
Spesh also said that the amount the businessman is requesting is equivalent to what Davido earns from a single show and could be paid to him, but it is not his money.
Davido has not addressed the allegations himself.
Several videos have now surfaced and gone viral, showing where Davido promoted Salami’s football project.
The promotional deal was tagged “1XBet Davido Dream Football Show.”
Salami also made an appearance in the video as they discussed the positive impact of the project on young upcoming football talents
Salami expressed his personal connection to the project, describing it as a gift to society.
“This is my gift as a person to society as a creative and football lover who once craved and sought opportunities like this as a young boy,” he said.
