Special Spesh, Davido‘s hypeman, has responded to businessman Abu Salami‘s claims that Davido owes him N218 million.

Salami had accused Davido of breaching a financial agreement related to a children’s football project.

He also accused the singer of stealing from people and ruining people’s lives, including his.

He then dared Davido not to involve his father or face embarrassment.

“If you drag your father’s name into this, I promise you I will embarrass him,” he said.

“I say this to Mr. Adeleke directly, David steals from people, David is ruining people’s lives, he is ruining my life.”

In response, Spesh said that Salami initially brought the project to him in 2017, and he advised him to be patient.

He stated that he expanded the budget to $500,000 with the role of an operations manager and a 5% stake in the company.

Spesh claimed that Salami rushed to contact Davido, and the situation has now “backfired”.

He clarified that he has not received any money from the businessman and added that the disputed amount is what Davido earns from a show and could be given to him but the money is not his.

“This project, you brought to me in 2017 in Lekki. I told you when it is mature, we will push it,” he said.

“You brought your proposal of 200 million, I told you to make it $500k. I expanded it for you. I made corrections to all your proposals.

“I told you to be patient, you were not patient. We agreed whether it is David or not, I would be operations manager and I would have 5% of the company. You did not give me one Kobo.

“You tried to be fast, believing that if you reach David directly you can cut costs. Now it has backfired.

“This whole money you are shouting about is less than one show money, so we can decide to say this show that is coming let us go and do the show, carry the money give Abu but the money is not even yours.”
