Toke Makinwa, media personality, has likened herself to the “mother of gays”, adding that she has nothing against the sexuality of people around her.

The 35-year-old actress-cum-author disclosed this in a recent episode of her vlog, where she did a review of the TV series ‘Love is Blind’ alongside her stylist.

While making reference to one of the actresses in the movie, she said women often constitute a problem to themselves, adding that many prefer to egotistically run after men that reject them.

“Let me just say this out here: I’m like the mother of gays. I love my gay friends. They are the best friends to have. I have nothing against people’s sexuality,” Makinwa said.

“Why would you care about people that I’m sleeping with? I don’t care so much as to make it a thing.

“…The fact that he rejected her made her want him more. That is the story of many of us. It’s your ego that was bruised, not because you were really in love with those people.

“You spend two years mourning a relationship of six years not because you really like that guy but because you hate the fact that he rejected you.

“We like guys that we like, not guys that like us as women. It’s a thing. Women sometimes, we’re the problem.”

Makinwa recently made the headlines after she said purchasing a vibrator and other toys at 33 helped her figure out her sexual needs.
