In a tweet on Monday, Wale congratulated Asake, the Afrobeats star, for the success of his recent concert at London’s O2 Arena.

The dancehall singer also shared his thoughts on the surging influence of Nigerian music.

According to Wale, Ghanaians are curious about how Nigerians “achieve such significant success”.

He added that by relinquishing judgmental attitudes, people might uncover the “formula” for success.

The singer has previously teased Ghanaian musicians while praising his Nigerian counterparts.

In 2022, Wale called on Ghanaian artistes to show respect for their Nigerian peers and stop engaging in comparisons.

“Please can we just respect Nigerians for their hard work and stop comparing our lazy lifestyle to theirs,” he said.

“It is shame people think Nigerians will come hard at me but see they are the ones doing the streaming because they understand what Talent means.. Ghana music is a shame.”

In January, Wale urged Ghanaians to seek assistance from Nigerians, asserting that their music was a “disgrace.”

“It’s better we stop arguing with Nigerian fans, promoters, etc and ask for help. Ghana music is a disgrace, mek nobody lie you,” he said.

“Shouts to Naija, Ghana ppl too deh like talk with no action. Yes I have said it.”
