Rick Ross, the American rapper, has given a special shout-out to some musicians in Africa, including Portable and Odumodublvck.

The famous hip-hop and rap artiste took to his Instagram to express his love and respect for Africa, its culture, food, and music.

In the footage, Ross also registered his interest in “bringing more attention to Africa by doing a collaborative album with the continent’s artistes”.

He thereafter mentioned the names of African artistes he would like to work with — including Odumodublvck and Portable.

“I have a got a huge announcement. First and foremost I love Africa. I have touring Africa for the last 15 years. I have been to over 13 different countries in Africa. I love the food, the culture. I love the fashion. And the world loves the music. So what I want to do is to bring more attention to Africa. Let us do a huge collaboration album. Myself, Brett Berish, all the amazing artistes in Africa, amazing producers, let us collaborate,” he said.

“I have been speaking on this for the last several years. It is time for Africa. I am ready to plant the flag big. I just want to help bring attention to Africa and all the amazing artistes. I just want to show love to African artiste…

“Let us start with Odumodublvck, Nigeria; Amaraae, Ghana; Uncle Waffles, South Africa, Portable, Nigeria; ElGrandeToto Morroco, Harmonize, Tanzania; Innoss’B, Congo; Camo, South Africa.”

The 48-year-old rapper also paid respects to some presidents in Africa, including Bola Tinubu of Nigeria and Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa.

In 2011, Ross teamed up with P-Square on their hit single ‘Beautiful Oyinye’.
