MI Abaga says big labels like Warner, UMG, and Sony should start viewing Poco Lee as an A&R executive.

The rapper sang the praises of the Poco Lee who is now credited for the discovery of a number of breakout singers.

Poco Lee, a dancer, is credited to have kickstarted Portable’s music career after introducing him to Olamide.

The dancer also linked Black Sherif with Burna Boy, the Afrofusion singer, and aided Bella Shmurda’s big break.

“What all this actually means is that the big labels Warner Records Sony Music, and UMG should be looking at Poco Lee as one of the top A&Rs in the game. He knows how to find hits. Pay that man!” Abaga tweeted.

On how Poco Lee aided his emergence, Black Sherriff, a Ghanaian dancer, said he played his song to Burna Boy.

“I don’t know who played the song but I think it was Poco. He’s a Nigerian dancer. The support from him has been crazy. He has a huge fanbase in Nigeria,” he said during a press interview.

Poco Lee started dancing at a young age. As a university student, he would perform at school functions and events.

However, he came to the limelight after one of his dance videos went viral.

Zlatan Ibile, the rapper, made contact with him and featured Poco Lee in the video of his song ‘Zanku’.

Since then, Poco Lee has been widely known in the entertainment industry as a professional dancer.

He has also worked with the likes of Naira Marley, Bella Shmurda, Davido, and Burna Boy.
