‘My condition is getting worse’ — ailing transgender Jay Boogie laments

Jay Boogie, the Nigerian transgender fashion enthusiast, says his life savings have gone into dialysis after undergoing a failed plastic surgery.

Dialysis is a procedure to remove waste products and excess fluid from the blood when the kidneys stop working properly.

Last week, Jay Boogie had called out a surgeon identified as Dinma of Curvy Girl Essentials, who he claimed performed the surgery.

He asked the public to hold the doctor and the health facility responsible “if anything happens to me”.

“This surgeon wants to kill me please, I have a medical emergency. If anything happens to me, it is Dr. Dinma from Curvy Girl Essentials,” he said.

In a recent Instagram live session with Loveth Jennifer, a Namibia-based Nigerian doctor, the ailing transgender said his “condition is getting worse”.

He said the surgeon who performed the surgery has not been in contact with him.

Jay Boogie, born Daniel Anthony Nsikan, said he has used up his “life savings” for dialysis treatment because people had stopped donating money to assist him.

“I keep hearing she has been in contact with the doctor and all that but I have not even been seeing her or anything,” he said.

“My condition is getting worse by the day. Nobody is donating funds anymore and all my life savings have been going for dialysis.

“I don’t know what tomorrow holds, if I will survive it or I won’t survive it. I am just tired.

“This lady has messed my whole life up and my career, she has messed everything up. How do I take care of my siblings?”
