BNXN, the Nigerian singer formerly called Buju, has come through with ‘In my Mind’, his new single.

The musician announced the release of the song, which is his debut on The Colors Show, on Monday.

‘In my Mind’ is the second track BNXN will be dropping off his forthcoming extended play (EP) titled ‘Bad Since ’97’.

The less than three-minute track sees BNXN talking about unrequited love. He also laments that his perceived lover is with him for the fame.

The music video opens with BNXN singing over a microphone from the ceiling of a blue-painted room.

“Cause In my mind/ I’m Superman and you’re Louis lane/ Girl tell me that you feel the same/ Take away all my pain/ I won’t feel ashamed/ In your mind/ You’re only here cause I got fame and all you do is drag my name/ Try to put it all to shame / And it’s such a shame,” the lyrics read.

BNXN, whose real name is Daniel Benson, has been enjoying massive reception from music lovers since his foray into the music landscape.

He has also bagged numerous awards for his works. In 2019, he was nominated for the ‘Rookie of the Year’ category at The Headies.

In 2020, he won the City People Entertainment Awards for the ‘Revelation of the Year’ category.
