Rotimi, the Nigerian-American singer, has come through with a new single titled ‘Sade’.

The singer and actor took to his social media pages on Friday to announce the new track.

In ‘Sade’, Rotimi joins forces with Mayorkun, the Nigerian singer, and Nasty C, the South African rapper.

Rotimi, in the track, expresses his admiration for ‘Sade’, promising her “not to come and break your heart”.

“I know you struggling but love is so hard/ No not today/ No not today/ I’m a Yoruba demon/ Wey don repent/ I don change my ways (way e yeaah)/ I know the distance is long/ But I hope you don’t miss my calls/ One day I’ll knock on your door (ko ko ko)/ I’m different, I’ll prove it all (in to)/ Shey we go table the matter/ Make we solve am/ Call panel beater make you call/ Carpenter I might be dangerous/ But I’m on your side,” they sing. 

The song was produced by Nektunes, the songwriter, and Akon, the ace singer.

Rotimi Akinoso made his acting debut as a drug dealer in the movie ‘Boss’.

He has also starred in other films like ‘Power’, ‘Divergent’, ‘Black Nativity’ and ‘Battle Creek’.

50 Cent, an American rapper, signed Rotimi to G-Unit Records, his music label, in 2015. He later released ‘Jeep Music Vol.1’, his debut EP, in 2017.

In June 2019, the singer had narrated how his father made him save all the proceeds he earned from staring as Andre Coleman, in ‘Power’, a popular American television series.
