CNN reports that a source close to West’s family revealed that the ‘Heartbreak’ rapper is being treated for “exhaustion” at UCLA Medical Center.

A disturbance call to the Los Angeles police was said to have prompted his hospitalisation.

West’s onstage behaviour of late has been extremely erratic.

During a political rant on Thursday night in San Jose, California, West said he would have voted for U.S. president-elect Donald Trump and criticised those who won’t keep quiet about racism.

His antic got worse on Saturday when he showed up late for his concert in Sacramento, California, and performed only two songs before launching a tirade against Beyonce, Jay Z and Hillary Clinton.

Kris Jenner, West’s mother-in-law, says the effects of his tour has taken a toll on his health.

Mike Lopez, an officer with the Los Angeles police department told USA TODAY that the LAPD responded to a disturbance call at 1:20 p.m. on Monday in West Hollywood.

Brian Humphrey, LAFD spokesman, was quoted to have said the fire department responded to “an unspecified medical aid request” in the 900 block of North Laurel Avenue.

“An adult male, described as medically stable, was taken to an area hospital for further assessment,” he said.
