In a post via the singer’s Instagram page, his brother said Solidstar has been sick for a while now.

He also solicited financial help.

“We thought we could be able to solve the issue internally, but we need your help now,” the family said.

In a now-viral video, the singer can be seen roaming the streets barefoot and in tattered clothes.

“Hello everyone, my name is Joseph Iniyezo. I am Solidstar’s brother. I want to use this medium to let his fans, his friend, and colleagues in the industry know that Solidstar is really sick,” he said.

“I know you may be wondering why he has not been active, it is because he has been sick and battling a lot mentally. I know he must have offended some of his friends and colleagues but it is not his fault.

“We thought we could be able to solve the issue internally and we tried our best but we need your help now. His friends, his colleagues please we need your help, if there is any time in the world he needs your help, it is now.”

In 2019, Solidstar recounted how he nearly lost his life from a drug overdose.

“There is a thin line between life and death. The incident showed how fragile I am by the overdose use of drugs that led to me bleeding in an attempt of a couple of thought processes,” he said.

“Sincere apologies to whomever I might have hurt but, hey, love is the sweetest and slowest form of suicide.”

In 2010, Solidstar released ‘One in a Million’, his debut album that went on to score a major success.
