Portable won the “Artiste of the Year” gong at the Golden Stars Award and says a Grammy is next.

The Golden Stars Award is a corporate leadership and institutional excellence award celebrated annually in Nigeria.

The 2023 edition of the award ceremony was held on June 18 in Lekki, Lagos.

In a post via Instagram on Monday, Portable shared videos from the event, celebrating his win.

In one video, the singer could be heard saying he won a Golden Stars award and would bring home a Grammy next.

“I collect Golden Stars Award, I go collect Grammy come home,” the singer said.

The singer described himself as the “newborn Fela” in an accompanying caption.

He also expressed gratitude to his fans and manager for their support.

In February, Portable expressed his desire to win a non-existent Grammy category.

He said he would like to win the best artiste category at the Grammys.

Portable gained popularity in December 2021 when he featured the record producer Olamide and the dancer Poco Lee for ‘Zazoo Zeh’.

Zazoo Zeh’, a street hop song, quickly became a hit and saw him perform across multiple shows and clubs.

Portable has since continued to stir conversations on social media for his controversial persona.
