Funke Akindele, the actor-turned-politician, has taken to social media to reflect on self-love.
The filmmaker took to her her Instagram page on Tuesday evening to share a quote that she attributed to herself.
In the quote, the actress encouraged people to have high regard for their own happiness; not sacrificing their well-being to please others.
She also urged people to always appreciate and love who they have become despite challenges.
“Verified💯📌#selflove #beintentional,” she wrote.
“Work on being in love with the person in the mirror who has been through a lot but is still resilient,” the quote reads.

It remains to be seen what inspired the post.
Akindele and JJC Skillz, the singer, tied the knot in London in 2016 and welcomed a set of twin boys in 2018.
But things fell apart between the pair in 2022, leading to their separation.
JJC Skillz, who announced the split, said it was due to “irreconcilable differences”.
“Dear Friends and family I need to let you know that Funke and I have separated. While it lasted we shared a lot of things together and have created 2 beautiful children,” he had written.
In a recent interview with TheCable Lifestyle, JJC Skillz revealed that if he decides to marry again, he won’t make it public.
Before JJC Skillz, Akindele was formerly married to Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede. The marriage was dissolved after a year.
