Rita Edochie, the ace actress, has offered words of encouragement to May Aligwe, the first wife of Yul Edochie, following her battle with polygamy.
In April 2022, Yul announced the arrival of a child with Judy — to the displeasure of May.
The actor also set tongues wagging when he unveiled Judy as his second wife.
In December, Yul would apologise to May for taking a second wife.
In her response, May said she would not be cajoled into accepting polygamy because it goes against her faith, beliefs, and values.
The entrepreneur also recounted how she battled with depression after Yul married Judy.
Reacting to the polygamy saga, Rita, who is a member of the Edochie family, took to Instagram to offer uplifting words to May.
The ace actress, who is married to Tony Edochie, a younger brother to Pete Edochie, Yul’s father, shared footage of May alongside her children.
She also encouraged her that no one can take “your home”.

“It’s your home nwam. No worries. No competition. It’s a question of time,” Rita wrote.
In March, Yul and May lost Kambilichukwu, their eldest son.
When contacted, a very close associate of the family told TheCable Lifestyle the teenager slumped and died while playing football.
The Lagos state police command also said there is an ongoing investigation to unravel the cause of Kambilichukwu’s death.
“There’s a need to carry out an autopsy to know what really happened. We can’t really say what happened until the autopsy is done,” the police spokesperson had said.
