Bella Shmurda, Nigerian artiste, has become the butt of jokes in some quarters after his grammatical error at the 14th edition of The Headies held on Sunday.

The ‘Cash App’ crooner was nominated for the ‘Next Rated’ category of the award alongside Tems, Oxlade and Omah Lay with the ‘Bad Influence’ singer snagging the gong.

But during the red carpet session of the show, the host had asked the 23-year-old how he felt being nominated for the award and his chances of winning.

The ‘Vision 2020’ singer, however, stunned the interviewer with his response laced with errors.

“I came here, I came here with you, you know. I came here to do my thing. I didn’t came here for the award. I just came here to vibe,” he said.

“It’s good to be recognised, you know but it doesn’t matter if you don’t do well. It doesn’t stops you, you know. You just have to look forward and that’s what I’m doing. I have to look forward.”

The development has since sparked reactions on social media, with many airing different views over the blunder.

Shmurda had made the headlines earlier this year over a report that he was drunk during a stage performance — a claim he dismissed.
