Ehi won the crown ahead of other contestants at the just-concluded pageant held in Otukpo in Benue.

The 24-year-old walked home with a brand-new car and other supplementary prizes.

Announcing the winner, the panel of judges led by the actress Lucy Ameh described the contest as a tough fight.

Speaking after her victory, Ehi promised to advocate for the girl child and women through her pet project.

Edwin Ochai, the founder of the Idoma Carnival, the parent body of the pageant, said the competition was established in 2013 as one of the events marking the annual Idoma International Carnival.

“It is about empowering females, giving them a voice to speak up in making a difference,” he said.

“It’s about embracing cultures, accepting our differences, promoting tourism, celebrating our diversity, and understanding that it is what makes us special and unique.

“Our Vision is to be the best and the most reliable platform where beauty pageantry and women empowerment is warehoused in Nigeria.

“It is our dream and desire to use this platform to showcase, empower, and provide the platform for the girl child who has been relegated to the background in spite of her potential due to wrong cultural orientation and beliefs.”
