Omah Lay, the Nigerian singer, has come through with a new song titled ‘Holy Ghost’.

The songwriter released the track on streaming platforms in the early hours of Friday.

In “Holy Ghost’, Omah Lay calls on supernatural forces to boost his confidence and grant his heart desires.

“Holy Ghost fire, supernatural, boost my confidence/ My cocaine, my heart desire, give me nothing else/ I no dey tire cos you give me ginger for the die minute/ You’re my true lover, my mami water give me happiness,” he sings.

“Symptoms don dey show for my knicker, I’ll stop drinking baby/ Tequila done dey hit me for liver, it’s either indica or it’s a sativa/ Anytime that I smoke, these girls be looking like wife materials.”

Born Stanley Omah Didia, Omah Lay started his music career at the age of 15.

He gained fame in 2020 following the release of hits ‘You’ and ‘Bad Influence’.

Last year, Omah Lay revealed how he battled with depression while recording ‘Boy Alone’, his debut album.

In May, he said he grew up “among criminals” in Port Harcourt and his childhood experience influenced the kind of music he now puts out.

He has won a plethora of awards and recognition.
