Lakeyria Doughty, a talented dirt bike rider from Baltimore in the United States, has been charged for allegedly murdering Tiffany Wilson, her girlfriend, hours into the new year.

The 26-year-old was charged with first and second-degree murder, misdemeanor and felony assault, and possession of a deadly weapon with the intent to injure after she allegedly stabbed Wilson, 33, in West Baltimore.

Donny Moses, Baltimore’s police spokesman, said Doughty and Wilson were in a relationship and got into an argument that prompted the former to stab the latter.

“It was a domestic situation where cooler heads didn’t prevail,” he was quoted by Baltimore Sun as saying.

The police said the actress had called 911 after the face-off but her partner died before 4am on January 1 at the scene where she was allegedly stabbed.

According to the police department, the ‘Wheelie Queen’ star was taken into custody for questioning after the incident and was thereafter charged.

The development is said to be the first homicide in Baltimore since the dawn of the year.

Doughty has continued to pull the strings with her dirt bike riding stunts and skills which endeared her to many lovers of the male-dominated game in Baltimore and beyond.

She came into the spotlight after starring in ‘Charm City Kings’, a 2020 American drama film, produced by Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, his wife.

The movie, inspired by the heroics of dirt bike riders in Baltimore, has earned the actress several recognitions as well as huge followers on social media platforms.
