The fans love Burna Boy but their affection for him was put to a serious test from Wednesday evening right into the wee hours of Thursday.
The Afro-fusion star has enjoyed a stellar, downright impressive 2018, with many starting to tout him as the artiste of the year, ahead of the likes of Wizkid, Tiwa Savage and Davido.
In the past almost-12 months, Burna has managed to avoid controversies, topped music charts with his hit songs, worked with international artistes and gained tons of new fans home and abroad.
The ‘Ye’ star was meant to cap the fine year with a great concert at Eko Convention Centre.
Although the much-anticipated event did take place, it was not without the now-familiar Nigerian music industry devil of ‘delay’.
Fans present at the Boxing Day concert had to wait till circa 2am on Thursday for OluwaBurna to arrive at the event billed to commence 7pm Wednesday.

But despite the protracted delay and a sideline fight by two ‘grown men’, the high-priced concert which featured the top artistes in the country appeared to be well-appreciated by fans.
