Davido, award-winning Nigerian singer, has tackled Kayode Ogundamisi, a political commentator, for criticizing him over the arrest of Helen and Susan, two young ladies who stirred a pregnancy hoax.

Recently, a video of the two ladies had surfaced online where one of them claimed that the music star got her pregnant — a development that saw Davido threaten to file a N30 billion lawsuit for “defamation of character” and eventually led to their arrest.

Ogundamisi, who is renowned for baring his opinion when it comes to issues in politics and the public space, took to his Twitter page to register his disapproval of Davido’s action.

The prominent commentator and human rights activist aired his displeasure while retweeting a post shared by Jack Obinyan, one of President Muhammadu Buhari’s media aide, who had first criticized Davido.

“Imagine @iam_Davido as first Cousin in @StateofOsun with his Uncle @IsiakaAdeleke1 as Governor. And @MBuhari is meant to be the tyrant o!,” he wrote, while making an analogy of what the Adeleke’s tenure would look like if Davido’s uncle had won the Osun state election tribunal.

In his reaction, Davido took to his handle to warn Ogundamisi never to mention his family name in his comments.

The talented singer went on to claim that Ogundamisi’s “life earnings don’t measure up to 30 percent of what he earns from one of his shows”.

“It pains you that someone half your age can give birth too, is greater than you will ever be. You are a loser, a disappointment. You’re useless! Now keep my family name out your mouth! Your whole life earning no reach 30 percent of my show money. And it hurts, I know,” Davido wrote.
