Wizkid, the Grammy-winning Afrobeats star, has revealed his favourite Nigerian artistes at the moment.
In a post shared via Instastory, the megastar named Rema, Asake, Odumodublvck, Bloody Civilian and Shallipopi as his current favourite artistes.
Wizkid also described the five artiste as “superstars” while giving a special shout-out to Shallipopi.
In the flurry of posts, the ‘Essence’ hitmaker said even if Shallipopi coughs in his song, he will still dance to it.
With a huge fanbase, several awards, and honorary mentions, Wizkid is among the leading names in African music.
The multiple award-winning singer recently hinted that he is on a five-year hiatus from music.
He also humorously contemplated a range of activities he would indulge in during his break.
The Afrobeats star urged his fans to prioritise their well-being and cherish moments with loved ones.
While teasing his new album, Wizkid said he has made enough music to retire.
“I have enough music to retire, we are recording everyday so imagine how much music I have now,” he had said.
“I love the recording, the performing, I love everything to be honest. I have built my life around this for years, this is the only way I know.”
The singer lost his mum in August. Jane Dolapo Balogun was buried last month.
