Blaqbonez, the Nigerian rapper, says Asake, the Afro-pop star, has greatly influenced the type of his music he creates.

In a recent interview with HipTV, the rapper commended Asake for being skilled at providing support musically.

Blaqbonez said Asake is talented in utilizing his vocals, adding that he often seeks his assistance when working on his own music.

He also gave the singer credit for being influential in his musical journey.

“Zamora and Asake have always been great at backups,” he said.

“You know this thing that Asake does with vocals, he understood this thing from time so I used to ask him to help me figure out these things.

“So they have always been influential in my music journey because every phase of Blaqbonez helped build the Blaqbonez that I am now.”

Since the release of his debut album in 2021, Blaqbonez has continued his impressive run in the music industry with several hit projects.

In 2022, the rapper made his directorial debut after TG Omori, the Nigerian music director, billed him $30,000 for a music video.

The rapper recently teamed up with Ludacris, the American rapper, for his single titled ‘Cinderella Girl’.

Blaqbonez has received an array of awards and recognition for his craft.
