Davido has taken a swipe at Gboyega Oyetola, governor of Osun, for challenging the outcome of the July 16 guber election in the state.

Ademola Adeleke, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was declared the winner of the keenly-contested election.

Adeleke secured 403,371 votes to defeat Oyetola of the All Progressive Congress (APC), who got 375,027 votes.

But Oyetola had in a suit asked the election petition tribunal to nullify Adeleke’s victory.

In the petition dated August 5 and seen by TheCable, Oyetola had argued that Adeleke was not qualified to contest and that he was not elected by the majority of the lawful votes cast.

Oyetola had also claimed that Adeleke forged the certificates submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and did not comply with the provisions of the Electoral Act, 2022.

But in a series of posts via his Twitter page on Saturday, the ‘OBO’ crooner mocked the governor over the suit.

“O lule part 2 loading. @GboyegaOyetola defeat is painful,” he wrote in one of the posts.

In another post, he taunted the governor, asking him when he would congratulate Adeleke over his victory at the state election.

“Your excellency sir @GboyegaOyetola when will you congratulate the Incoming governor of your state @AAdeleke_01… in 2018 my uncle congratulated you even though it was stolen … do the right thing baba .. one love,” he added.
