Godwin Obaseki, the governor of Edo state, and Johnny Drille have performed a duet to ‘How Are You (My Friend)’, the singer’s hit single.

Drille, who hails from Edo state, recently paid Obaseki a visit; with the footage of their meeting shared on Instagram.

In the video, the governor was seen welcoming the artiste with his song lyrics ‘how are you, my friend’.

The video also ended with the pair vibing to the track.

Obaseki said the meeting was to discuss how “to support young talent in the creative sector, having built a state-of-the-art facility with the Victor Uwaifo creative hub”.

“I was thrilled to have one of the nation’s best musical talents and my friend, @johnnydrille, visit today! We have built a state of the art facility with the @victoruwaifocreativehub,” he wrote.

“To support young talent in the creative sector and are excited for more young artists to create new experiences in our Hub.

“We remain committed to promoting arts in the State and keeping our innately creative youth positively engaged.”

‘How Are You (My Friend)’ is a track off ‘Home’, Drille’s extended play (EP), released on October 28, 2022.

Born John Ighodaro, Drille joined Mavin Records in 2017 after his unique sound caught the attention of Don Jazzy.

Since then, he has released numerous singles that turned out to be successful.

He has also received several awards and recognition for his craft. In 2019, he won the ‘Best Alternative Song’ award at The Headies.
