Ahmed Ololade, the Nigerian singer better known as Asake, has come through with the visuals for ‘Joha’, his hit single.
The song is the seventh track of ‘Mr. Money With The Vibe, the singer’s debut album.
The less than three-minute video — directed by TG Omori — opens up with Asake in a beautiful building before the scenery switches to what appears to be a ranch.
“Hola como estas/ You wan make I change my style/ Kilo kan boys/ Kilo kan federal/ Mr. Money no dey waste time/ Shey you no remember/ Ogaranya ebelesu/ Make we just dey fire dey go, ko de ni su wa,” he sings.
The 27-year-old singer has continued to receive positive reception since he released his debut album on September 8.
The body of work also occupied the first 12 spots on Apple Music’s top 100 chart in Nigeria.
During his recent tour of the United States, Asake, who is the Afrobeats rave of the moment, performed on stage with a goat.
Asake ventured into music at a very young age.
After years as a budding artiste, he started to attract attention with the release of his hit song ‘Lady’ in 2020.
He was signed to Olamide-owned YBNL record label in February 2022, releasing ‘Ololade’, his debut EP, which housed four tracks.
Asake is a graduate of theatre and performing arts at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU).
