D’banj and Don Jazzy, founders of Mo’Hits, the defunct record label, reunited at the wedding of Ikechukwu Onunaku, Nigerian rapper and actor, years after the group collapsed.

Ikechukwu tied the knot with Ella, his long-time girlfriend, on Saturday.

The musician had proposed to Ella in November last year — about two months after he made their relationship public.

The wedding was graced by prominent celebrities including Naeto C, Omawumi, Waje, Sola Sobowale, Sasha P, and Praiz.

The highlight of the event was the reunion of members of Mo’Hits made up of artistes like Don Jazzy, D’banj, Wande Coal, Dr Sid, D’Prince, and K-Switch.

Don Jazzy and D’banj were the co-owners of the label which folded up in 2012.

After the split, Don Jazzy went on to set up Mavin Records while Dbanj started DB Records.

But at Ikechukwu’s wedding, D’banj, Don Jazzy and Wande Coal reignited fond memories of the group by performing hit projects released by the defunct label.

Ikechukwu had last year explained that he earlier concealed his relationship over the fear of the unknown.

“I’ve kept it as lowkey as possible for fear of what the world could possibly do to scatter us. But I ain’t afraid no more. She holds me down, she makes me smile, she tickles and inspires my brain, she pisses me off, she never likes me pissed off,” he had said.

“Vice versa. Make up is always the option. She’s everything and I pray she remains that. Next level. Help me pray for next level cos we no hide again.”
