Tega Dominic, the recently evicted housemate of the ongoing Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), says she has not been mentally okay since her exit from the show.

The mother of one was sent packing from the show alongside Peace and Michael and Boma on Sunday.

But she has continued to be at the receiving end of heated criticism on social media due to her intimate relationship with Boma during their time on the show.

The backlash had heightened days before she exited the show after a video of her and Boma sharing a passionate kiss surfaced online.

Reacting to the attacks coming her way in an emotional Instagram video on Tuesday, Tega appealed to AJ, her husband, and Nigerians to forgive her actions.

“I have been emotionally broken for the past two days and it looks like almost a year. My life has taken a U-turn and I’m not mentally okay. I’m sorry guys and at this phase of my life, I need all the love that I can get,” she said amid tears.

In a post accompanying the video, the entrepreneur said she was disappointed in herself that her actions on the show left many rankled.

“I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me despite everything that has happened. Words cannot express how grateful I am,” she wrote.

“I take full responsibility for my actions and I sincerely apologise to everyone that I disappointed and to those who could not stand my actions while on the show. I am truly sorry.

“To my husband; babe, I know we have already talked about this but I want to apologise again and also appreciate you for standing by me and giving me all the support I needed to pursue my career.”

“To all the women out there who felt I let them down, I am sorry. To everyone who are still very angry and sending messages and comments, I do not see you as ‘trolls’ I understand your anger and I want to say that I’m deeply sorry.”

She also called on the public to support her family with prayers as they try to navigate the issues confronting them.

“Lastly, please pray for me and my family as we go through this phase together,” she added.

The reality TV star had earlier apologised to her husband, saying what transpired between her and Boma was never real.

Her husband had also said that he will forgive her if she expresses remorse over her actions while on the show.
