Uzoamaka Ohiri, ex-wife to Nedu Wazobia, Nigerian radio personality, says she “owned up” on her son’s paternity issue.

Nedu, real name Chinedu Ani, had earlier shared the result of a DNA test showing their first son wasn’t his.

But in an interview with GoldmyneTV, Uzoamaka said the paternity scandal in their union had never been a secret.

She claimed Nedu had become “insecure” about the paternity of one of their two girl children and ran DNA tests.

“You people don’t understand. I know you guys are just hearing it but it has never been a secret. This is a document that almost everybody has because I constantly get them from strangers,” the ex-wife said.

“Unknown people randomly send it to my Whatsapp. People call me, text me. It’s been going on for a while. This is something he knows about. We both know. I don’t want Nedu back. I never did.

“I can’t even stay in the same space with him. I’m doing this for my children. Every time I tried to speak up or say something, I get messages like, ‘oh, you that gave me another man’s child.'”

Uzoamaka said she dated someone before Nedu. She also said she gave the OAP a shot after that relationship ended.

The mother of three argued she never considered “looking the other way” when she discovered she was pregnant.

“I met Nedu, of course, I gave him some headache but he seemed like a very cool person. We clicked and I decided we should give it a try. It was then I found I was pregnant. Trust me, I didn’t think the other way,” she said.

“Along the line when we were still married. Nedu became very insecure.

“He was doubting the paternity of my last child. The second girl. He went about telling. His colleagues were calling saying we had sex only once and I said I’m pregnant. How many times do you need to have sex to get pregnant?

“He went to find out. Unfortunately for him, it was the first. I knew he was going to do that. But I can’t throw away my child. I’m owning it. I made peace with God and that’s what is important to me. My child will be fine.

“What was funny about this whole thing was that he’s been going around, talking about this boy and making him look like the reason we separated. That wasn’t it.”

Speaking further, Uzoamaka said Nedu’s words to her son had reassured her that he was going to accept him.

“Now he goes about telling people all manner of things about this boy. Then, at home, he’ll call my son’s phone saying, ‘daddy loves you, Daddy is going to do this and that,” she added.

“This left us thinking, is he trying to claim this child and accept him as his own. He has always known me. But for what he did two days ago, he doesn’t deserve my son. He didn’t even blur out his name, he put it out.

“This is me coming out to the world stark naked. Kick me, sit on me, insult me, judge me if that will make you feel better. As for me, I’m doing what will make me sleep at night. I said, let’s focus on the girls. He’s my son.”
