In a recent interview with KissFresh, the UK-based radio station, Savage said she loves how Starr maintains her stand whenever she gets criticised for her skimpy dresses.

The ‘Somebody’s Son’ hitmaker also hailed the Mavin Records artiste for her “genuineness”, adding that “I am obsessed with her”.

“Amazing. No cap. I love Ayra. There was one time I tweeted it. I am obsessed with her. She is amazing and genuine too. It makes me emotional because when I started, I think I got criticised a lot for dressing too sexy,” she said.

“My lyrics were being too… So seeing it now, seeing someone like Ayra. If I see her wear short skirts I would say something like ‘make it shorter’. And she looks amazing, and talented. She is a star.”

Starr’s choice of outfits has always attracted criticism on social media.

In November 2022, the singer was lambasted over the dress she wore to a concert in Lagos.

In June 2023, Starr was criticised for her skimpy dress during a concert in Athens, Greece.

The songstress was also berated over her outfit during her ’21: World Tour’ in Stockholm, Sweden in November 2023.

In February, Starr revealed that her mother had asked her to start putting on long skirts.

“My mom said I should start wearing longer skirts,” she wrote.
