Ayra Starr, the fast-rising singer, has hit back at critics of the outfit she wore to a recent concert in Lagos state.

The ‘Rush’ crooner came under fire for wearing a skimpy dress which revealed some parts of her breasts to the concert.

Reacting to the backlash in a Twitter post, the ‘Bloody Samaritan’ singer asked her critics to “shut up”.

“You don’t like my aesthetics, shurrup you’re gonna like it todayyy,” she wrote.

The singer further took a swipe at her detractors in an Instagram live session.

Starr said people should stop judging her based on her outfit. She added that opinions from critics do not matter to her.

“I’m only going to say this once, I no send your papa, your mama, your uncle, your sister…I go wear my miniskirt anywhere I want, anytime I want, any way I want,” she said in a mixture of pidgin and English.

“So mind your business. ‘Cos you see me, your opinion, I go use am write song. E no matter to me. Hey guys, I am still new in this so… don’t judge me, no judgement.”

The musician, born Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, has continued to pull the weight of fame since she was signed to Mavin Records, the label owned by Don Jazzy.

Stormzy, the US rapper, recently enlisted her for his latest album titled: ‘This Is What I Mean’.
