A source close to the family confirmed the date of the wedding ceremony to TheCable Lifestyle on Tuesday.

It is understood that associates of the late president are making plans with Turai, his widow, for the wedding to hold on July 23, in Maiduguri, Borno state capital.

“Shehu is the son of our late principal who was also a personal friend to some or us. And that makes Shehu our son,” Yayale Ahmed, the former secretary to government of the federation (SGF) under Yar’Adua, told TheCable.

“The least we can do is support his mother, the former First Lady, Hajia Turai YarAdua and the family.”
