Charles Mensah, a Ghanaian singer better known as Shatta Wale, has taken a hit at Burna Boy, an Afrofusion star, for allegedly badmouthing him.

In an Instagram live on Saturday, the self-acclaimed Dancehall king vented his chagrin at the ‘African Giant’ crooner who he claimed gossiped about him while in Ghana.

During the yuletide season, Burna Boy was spotted at a number of events and nightclubs occasionally mingling with the crème de la crème of the entertainment industry in Ghana.

The Grammy-nominated singer also reportedly engaged in a brawl with Davido, his colleague, at Twist nightclub in the west African country.

But in the short video, Wale said he is very disappointed that Burna Boy refused to reply to his messages all through the period he was in Ghana.

He added that the ‘Ye’ singer should have acted matured and come to him as a brother so they could iron out any issue he had against him instead of “badmouthing” him.

“When you came [to Ghana] there was some kind of hustle in you. I saw it. We ate chips and did things together. You know what I’m saying. So if you have a problem you should call me and tell me about it,” he said.

“So when you talk to anyone about me in Ghana, it gets back to me. I am like MTN in Ghana, the network goes through me. When I message you on IG you don’t reply. You are very funny.

“Because you are behaving like a b*tch. You had a problem with me you can’t call me so we talk and laugh it off.”

Before now, the two music heavyweights have been good friends.  In 2017, they also teamed up for ‘Hosanna’, Wale’s 2017 hit track, which enjoyed massive views across streaming platforms.
