A Twitter user appeared to have been impersonating the 47-year-old entrepreneur on the microblogging application by using his name.

The impersonator has been running the account — which has over 33,000 followers — for months and repeatedly posting content to give users the impression that it’s Cubana handling the page.

The tweets also usually attract an avalanche of reactions — which include likes, mentions, and retweets.

But in a recent Facebook post, the business tycoon called on the public to disregard the page which he said is “fake”.

Cubana also reiterated that he’s not on Twitter.

“Someone has been operating with my name on tweeter. It is not me!!! I am not not on tweeter!! I am not on tweeter!! I don’t use tweeter!!!” he wrote.

“I am not on tweeter!!!! It is a fake tweeter account!! Obi Cubana is not on tweeter!!!”

The socialite kick-started his foray into business in 2006 when he floated Ibiza Club — dedicated to satisfying fun seekers in Abuja.

The entrepreneur later established Cubana in 2009 to provide all-around entertainment for people. He has since then expanded to various cities in the country.

In April, he donated two million naira each to 20 of his “struggling” secondary school classmates to establish themselves.
