Ahead of the presidential election on February 25, Obi shared his vision for Nigeria — if elected president — when he met with top entertainers on Thursday evening.

He said Nigeria is blessed with enormous resources that need to be harnessed for development purposes.

He, however, lamented the rate of unemployment in the country, saying some “youths engage in kidnapping and killing and end up in prison because they have no job.”

“We have enough youths who are looking for jobs. I have been to nine prisons to ask youths why did you kidnap, why did you kill, why did you shoot? They say they have no jobs,” he said.

“And here we are. Those people who are stealing it (crude oil) are those who are supposed to enforce it.

“We are blessed with natural resources. We are blessed with human capital that if you train and develop can change the world. Without training they are changing the world.”

The celebrities in attendance include Kanayo O Kanayo, Chidi Mokeme, Nkechi Blessing, Okey Bakassi and Paul and Peter Okoye.
