Some Nigerians have taken to social media to register their annoyance following the dismissal of Busola Dakolo’s case against Biodun Fatoyinbo, senior pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), by a high court in Abuja.

Oathman Musa, the presiding judge, dismissed the case describing it as a “purely sentimental abuse of judicial process.”

He also ordered Busola to pay the sum of N1 million which could have been more because she wasted the court’s time.

The court verdict did not go down too well with quite a number of Nigerians on social media platforms especially Twitter, where they are “crying foul play”.

“So the court has thrown Busola Dakolo’s case out the window and still fined her 1m for wasting the court’s time. Wow! I just want to know how this country will be better. The judicial system is in shambles. Nothing is working in this country. It’s a shame,” a Twitter user said.

“On Busola Dakolo and Biodun Fatoyinbo. When the people cannot trust the nation’s most fundamental institutions, an indefinite invitation to anarchy is on the table. This growing judicial erosion of public trust will spark a spike in how people take the law into their own hands,” Fisayo Soyombo wrote.

Here is what some Nigerians had to say:
