Teni has joined forces with Frank Edoho, Nigerian TV presenter, to recreate the ‘Who Wants To Be a Millionaire’ (WWTBAM) hot seat in ‘Billionaire’, the video for a lead track off her debut EP.

The video, which comes on the heels of her six-track extended play of the same name, was released on Thursday.

It sees her feature Broda Shaggy, Nigerian comedian, as her phone-a-friend agent, in a move that had Shaggy dive into an embarrassing moment of playing the guessing game on WWTBAM.

But, unlike many expected, the Afrobeats singer goes ahead to make her first billion on the show, thereby fulfilling her long-reiterated dream of making it big.

‘Billionaire’ opens with Teni professing her aspirations — how she wants to make love on the moon, dance to her tunes, and be on Forbes Magazine — as she’s ushered into a spherical mass with foreign currencies raining down on her glamorously dressed self.

Teni has repeatedly made the headlines in recent times amid accolades, awards, and project releases that have undoubtedly placed her as one of the top Nigerian vocalists to look out for.

After she was named the 2019 Artiste on the Rise by YouTube, Teni was nominated in several categories for the 2019 Headies and the MTV Europe Music Awards.

She also made her first stride into the Nollywood scene in ‘Dear Affy‘.

The 26-year-old released her debut single ‘Amen’ while she was signed to Magic Fingers Records. She started gaining prominence after her 2017 single ‘Fargin’.

Teni had her big break after releasing hit singles ‘Askamaya’, ‘Case’ and ‘Uyo Meyo’ in 2018.
