Amuda Mariam, the Nigerian lady better known as Mary Gold, has embarked on a 100-hour marathon to break the Guinness World Records (GWR) for the longest television talk show.

The TV presenter commenced the 100-hour show on December 16. She is expected to conclude the nearly four-day quest on December 20.

The exercise is being held at No 1, Taiwo Odekunle Street, off Coker Street, College Road, Ogba, Lagos.

In a recent Instagram post, the TV presenter said the management of the prestigious British reference book is aware of the attempt.

Mariam titled the talk show ‘Pep Talk with MaryGold’, where she will be hosting 100 guests on set.

Mary Gold said during the exercise, she will be interviewing actors, actresses, CEOs, politicians, and many other dignitaries in Nigeria.

As of the time of this report, the TV host has surpassed 82 hours. The attempt is currently being aired live across her social media platforms.

Mary Gold is attempting to break the current record held by Boris Tomašič, the Slovenian who hosted his show for 73 hours 23 minutes — from September 24 to 27, 2023.

She now joins the growing list of Nigerians who have attempted to set new world records since the beginning of 2023.
