Mo Abudu, founder of EbonyLive Television, says one of the defining moments of her career was when she hosted Hillary Clinton on her show.

The Moments With Mo talk show host said this on Friday at Excellence in Leadership Conference hosted by Daystar Christian Centre in Lagos.

Abudu said her vision for the series was a great one, such that she had to host Wole Soyinka on the first edition to clear every doubt and to prove that she could bring anyone, no matter how influential, on her show; adding that she had, so far, hosted African leaders, presidents and celebrities.

She admonished the audience about preparing for life’s event as it unravels so as not to be caught unawares in the future.

“No determined person would ever want to shed weight and never step into the gym or eat heavy meals at night,” she said.

Speaking on how she attained her present height, Abudu said everyone who has ever helped her in her life journey, had been complete strangers.

The media mogul said it doesn’t really have to be friends showing the right way to go, adding that some friends are dream killers while some are dream makers.

She motivated youths to think outside the box and maximise the technology at their disposals to do things that are worthwhile, adding that they should be ready to challenge existing status quo.

“Always have the courage and conviction to challenge the status quo, never think because it has not been done, then you can’t be the one that can do it.”

Abudu said everyone is in a competition in the red ocean and those who eventually get themselves into the blue ocean are those who have achieved their dreams and have left their competitors behind.

She therefore encouraged participants at the conference to swim into their blue ocean of ideas, innovation, and inventions.
