Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson, the celebrity couple, have reportedly split after nearly four years of marriage.
According to PEOPLE, Turner-Smith, the British actress, filed for a divorce at the Los Angeles supreme court on Monday.
TMZ also reports that the ‘Queen & Slim’ actress cited “irreconcilable differences” in her petition for divorce. The documents revealed that the couple separated on September 13.
Turner-Smith also requested 50/50 shared custody in her filing.
The 37-year-old actress tied the knot with Jackson, the Canadian actor, in December 2019.
They welcomed their first child — a girl — in April 2020.
Turner-Smith came into the limelight after featuring as Sgt. Azima Kandie in ‘The Last Ship’, the 2017–2018 season of the TNT series.
She also featured in ‘The Neon Demon’ in 2016, ‘Queen & Slim’ in 2019, ‘After Yang’ in 2022, and ‘White Noise’ in 2022.
Jackson, on the other hand, is known for his portrayals of Pacey Witter in ‘Dawson’s Creek’ from 1998 to 2003.
He has also starred in movies like ‘Fringe‘ from 2008 to 2013, ‘The Affair‘ from 2014 to 2018, ‘Fatal Attraction‘, ‘Dr. Death‘ in 2021, When They See Us (2019), and ‘Little Fires Everywhere’ (2020).
The 45-year-old won the ‘Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role’ for his performance in ‘One Week’ at the Genie Award in 2010.
He was also nominated for the 2022 Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Actor in a Limited Series.
