Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon, has announced his engagement to Lauren Sanchez, his longtime girlfriend.
According to CNN, the lovebirds’ engagement took place on Bezos’ luxurious superyacht off the coast of Cannes on Monday.
Sanchez was also seen wearing a dazzling diamond ring on her finger.
In January, Sanchez shared a loving message on social media on Bezos’ 59th birthday.
She described him as “the man of my dreams” and expressed gratitude for his love and support.
“Happy birthday to the man of my dreams, who lights up my world with his laughter and kind heart,” she wrote.
“You have shown me that no great love is not bravely fought for. Thank you for always being by my side and for being the most loving and supportive partner.”
The couple met in 2016 while Sanchez was working as an anchor for Fox’s Good Morning LA.
Their affair came to public attention in 2019 when it was revealed by the National Enquirer.
Around the same time, Bezos and MacKenzie Scott, his wife of 25 years, announced their divorce on social media, although they maintained that the split was amicable.
Their union was blessed with four children and their divorce settlement awarded MacKenzie over $35 billion.
Sanchez’s relationship with Bezos also brought an end to her 13-year marriage to Patrick Whitesell, her former husband.
She has three children from her previous relationships.
